Please join us for this celebration of life for Joe Docksey, Director of the Lamont School of Music from 1988 until his retirement in 2011.
Various speakers will remember the incredible legacy of Docksey, 和 Denver Brass will be among the performers. A reception in the Joy Burns Plaza will follow. 免费停车 will be available in the 纽曼中心 Garage. For those who cannot attend in person, the event will be livestreamed.

Joseph Docksey, Director of the Lamont School of Music from 1988 to 2011, passed away on December 9. Joe was one of the most significant directors in Lamont’s 99-year history. His unfailing commitment, from decades of service to the design of 和 transition to the 纽曼中心, 留下了不可磨灭的印记. He also earned his MA in trumpet performance from Lamont in 1974 和 served as a professor here from 1977 to 2011.
